Hello there my beloved readers…Its been a while I blogged. I thought I need to blog again because lots of my coaching clients wants to know what to eat and how to find time to exercise and move and so much more.
I want to lead by example and for the benefit of my clients and my readers I will write a blog about my DAY. I have 24 hours just like everyone else and I juggle work, home duties, a toddler , a super busy eight year old and my coaching clients.
Today is a blessed day not just because it is Eid and the beginning of long weekend for us Dubai dwellers. But the much awaited opening of the swimming pool has happened. Ok we were planning to go to pool by 6 in the morning but we overslept!!! I dragged myself out of the bed because JJ woke up suddenly screaming “we are late to go to the pool"!!!! OK, now everyone is fully awake with that shrieking even Linuk. I drank my 500ml water and finished my bathroom duties and start ordering everyone around. I ate a slice of whole grain pita with Tahina and a quarter of a banana. Linuk went for his Goat milk formula and JJ and daddy reach for the balance of the banana.
We hit the pool by 7.30 am. Hooray we are the first family to arrive at the brand new pool. There was no clock so I got the life guard to do the time check!!! I swam for thirty minutes and started wading around with Linuk. We take turns taking care of Linuk and swimming. August heat started beat us around 9 and we decided to go home. It’s a 3 minute walk and we are sopping wet and HAPPY!
I got myself and Jenara to wash our hair with ACV to wash off the chlorine. Nice and clean it is time to succumb to my weakness every weekend KIRIBATH and cuppa coffee or tea. Then I walked my 30 minutes. Sat down to write this blog now at 11am. Now got to go out to pick some groceries. Before that need to make my meal plans for everyone for the whole week and then the shopping list. I need to ensure we eat fish three times a week , eat ample fruits and veggies , snacks and top of all is not to waste any of the purchases.
I will be walking around two different super markets for about three hours every Friday doing this. Absolutely divine experience!!! I walk and I love to do hands on shopping. I do a lot of lable reading and It’s a skill that should be developed by anyone striving for a healthier life. In my prime time health program, clients learn to label read and select products with no nasties.
We came back around 4 pm after 4 hours of divine walking in the mall as we parked as far as possible and did a bit of window shopping and purchased something small from Petite Bateau (if I didn't do that therapy is not complete). I went shopping at a prestigious shop but the nasty ingredients make their third class appearance loud and clear (sigh!) . I chose some long weekend once in a while nasties (made sure they are less nasty than most). I bought a lot of fresh produce , Wild Alaskan salmon and some dry goods like pulses. But I found a very good bread suggested by a very good friend and I am planning to share it with my clients when they want suggestions. There is one ingredient that Iam suspicious about and Iam going to send the producer a mail about.
It’s Sri Lankan lunch day and we quickly ate and left at 4.30 for the tennis lessons. I walked 30 minutes again in the park bare foot watching a favourite telly soap.
Came home showered and time to go for a dinner party arranged by my lovely friends!!! It’s going to be a long night but company of good loving friends is a must-not-miss and Iam ready to face the challenges of a late-night by lots of exercises to day.
